My first blog. 

It's the 9th of November 2025 and my website is finally going online. When I started getting my books published in 2017, I should have considered having a website then, but there didn't seem to be a need. The first picture book I'd written sold out quickly through my personal Facebook page, through word-of-mouth, as well as local street markets. My second picture book, which has been my best-seller (the beautiful art always attracts attention), has sold quickly too, through similar outlets. It wasn't until my novel was completed in 2024 that I began considering other possibilities for showcasing my work. 

With the encouragement from other writer friends as well as my group, I've finally got into gear!

It's good to know my novella is very close to being printed. There's just one more proof to check over, which I'll do over the weekend.  :-)

At last! I finally have my books in stock, and it's so good to see the finished product. I already have some orders, and we have a couple of local markets coming up in December, so they will be a good opportunity to make some sales, especially with Xmas just around the corner.

Still waiting to approve the proof copy from Amazon. I'm hoping I can have it sorted very soon, but at least I have books in stock at present. If I get any overseas orders though, it's much easier for people to order them through Amazon.

I was at one of the Xmas markets in town today with another writer friend, and I sold eight of my books! The market had started off very quietly, and we thought it might be a no-go, but then people started arriving, stopping at our sales table and asking questions about our books and our writing in general. Before we knew it, we had some sales. Yaay!!  All in all, a successful day.
